The seminar provides an overview of the requirements of the federal ordinance (Bundesverordnung) AwSV for the categorization of water hazardous classes in Germany. We will offer a more detailed view into the responsibilities of authorities, industry and special committees as well as to the associated documentation and required reporting obligations.
We will introduce the WGK classification principle “As simple as possible (minimal data set) but as safe as necessary (precautionary principle)” and illustrate the classification of substances, mixtures and polymers by using practical examples.
