Analysis of Ecotoxicological Experiments with R (for R beginners and advanced users)

web-seminar
The web-seminar will take place from 10:00-15:00 h CET on both days (incl. breaks).

Your benefit

In this training we will do dose-response analysis with continuous and quantal data in order to estimate NOEC and ECx, estimate HCx according to the species sensitivity distribution approach and we will analyse micro-/mesocosm tests with the minimum detectable difference concept. All procedures will be done stepwisely with the free statistical software R and its related add-on packages.

Content

  • Analysis of Dose – Response Experiments (OECD TG 2**) with quantal and continuous data
  • NOEC (LOEC) determination (multiple hypothesis tests)
  • ECx determination (Spearman-Karber method, MLE method for logit, probit, Weibull model families, special models for hormesis)
  • Model averaging and Benchmark Dose Modelling (BDM seems to be novel to Ecotoxicology but is commonly used in Toxicology.)
  • The Species Sensitivity Distribution (SSD) approach
  • Estimation of HCx concentration to derive SSD-RACsw
  • RACsw derivation on the basis of micro-/mesocosm tests (ETO-RAC, ERP-RAC)
  • Minimum detectable difference concept according to Brock et al. (2005).
